I have been using one regimen for skincare for about 8 months. Not because it worked wonders for me but I just wanted to stick to one skincare hoping it will clear out my acne but that didn’t happen. Finally I thought of completely changing my skincare regimen and ordering products with good ingredients, good reviews and excellent results… hopefully!
Firstly, let me tell you my skincare concerns.
- Scaring and dark spots from previous acne.
- Combination skin (very dry around my eyes and cheeks and oily in my T-zone).
- Dull and rough skin texture.
My goal with this skincare regimen:
- Treat my acne.
- Make my skin look brighter and making the dark spots fade away.
- Fewer wrinkles.
- Have more of a smooth finish to my skin.
- Even though I use acne spot treatments that result in the dry skin but I still want my skin to be supple and hydrated. The drier it is the more wrinkles I get. Not good!
Pixi Glow Tonic:
Its ingredient includes Witch Hazel (reduces acne and inflammation), 5% Glycolic Acid (It is widely known as AHA and have the finest molecules that penetrate deeper into the skin and helps with anti-aging, dullness, and acne).
An essence is a water-like consistency that goes on after cleansing and toner and before your facial oils and moisturizers. It’s supposed to brighten the complexion and make your skin look more supple. Also, it has been compared with the extremely pricey and good quality product SKII Essence so I am very excited to try this product out.
Facial Oils is a very confusing topic for me having a combination skin. But wherever I see and read skincare do’s and don’ts. They always say to use facial oil even if you have extremely oily skin. Which product you use is important rather than just using anything. There are dry oils that are excellent for oily skin and vice versa. Reviews show that Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery is great for acne prone skin so this is why I jumped in purchasing this.
With an SPF 15, this will be my morning moisturizer. It claims to help in dullness, even skin tone and reduces dark spots.
Glycolic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid (this is like a burst of moisture on your face with youthful properties, great for anti-aging) are one of the key ingredients in this moisturizer. This will be my night time moisturizer so I can fully benefit with the ingredients. Hope in a Jar Moisturizer is an award-winning product which makes me have big expectations.
I will start this skincare from the 1st of April so I can easily keep track of the outcome. Very excited to try some of the highly hyped and award-winning skincare products. I would love to know your skincare regimen so leave a comment down below. Have a blessed day! xoxo
